The ZLAN Ethernet Module Support Proxy Server Function

In some networks, intranets are isolated through firewalls and external networks. If the embedded devices in the Intranet need to connect to the external network, they need to connect the network indirectly through the proxy server function of the firewall. The model ZLSN2092-S of ZLAN serial port to Ethernet module supports the proxy server function. The external network can be connected via the proxy server.

Before using the proxy server, you need to set up a proxy server in the Intranet and then set up the RS232/RS485/RS422 to Ethernet module ZLSN2092-S to open the proxy server function. Enter the proxy server IP in “Proxy Server IP” as shown in figure 1, the proxy server function will be automatically opened, if all the input are 0 or no input, close the proxy server functions.

When using the proxy function, the target computer (non-proxy server) of finally connected can be domain name or IP, filled in normal way. If you need to connect the target through the proxy server, enter the IP of the proxy server in “Proxy Server IP” shown in figure 1, and enter the proxy port opened by the proxy server in the port. If the proxy server does not require password authentication, the "need to verify" check is cancelled; On the other hand, check the password of the proxy server in the user name and password.

After the modification, click "ok", return to the "device Settings" dialog box, and click "modify Settings" to use the proxy server to connect to the external network.
